Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts/Administration Assistant to support our finance and administrative functions in a Construction Company. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic organisation, providing vital assistance with financial record-keeping, data entry, and general administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in various accounting software packages. Construction background is a must.

Duties

Managing accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
Maintaining accurate financial records using recognised accounting software such as Sage & Xero
Supporting the preparation of invoices,
Organising and maintaining administrative files and documentation
Responding to internal and external enquiries related to accounts or administrative matters
Assisting with general office administration including and managing correspondence
Strong CIS understanding and domestic reverse charge.

Experience

Previous experience working with accounting software such as , Sage or Xero is highly desirable
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and basic bookkeeping principles
Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in an administrative support role is advantageous but not essential for entry-level candidates
Construction background essential.
