Our Corby office is seeking a highly organised and analytically minded Finance Assistant to support the Group Management Accountant in managing and reconciling activity across a global group of companies. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transactions, documentation, and month end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Intercompany Reconciliation & Transaction Management
- Assist in the reconciliation of intercompany balances across multiple global entities, ensuring all differences are identified, investigated, and resolved promptly.
- Ensure intercompany invoices are raised accurately and on time, with correct supporting documentation.
- Monitor the booking of intercompany transactions to ensure they are recorded in line with group accounting policies.
- Maintain clear, audit ready documentation for all intercompany activity.
Transfer Pricing & Regional Recharges
- Support the calculation of notional regional recharges, including bonus related allocations, in line with group transfer pricing methodologies.
Assist in reviewing and updating transfer pricing schedules and allocation models as required.
Month End Close Support
- Provide hands on support during month end close, including journal preparation, variance analysis, and data validation.
- Assist with the preparation of management reporting packs and analysis.
- Liaise with regional finance teams to ensure timely submission of intercompany confirmations and supporting data.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, or process inefficiencies.
- Support the development of improved processes, controls, and reporting tools for intercompany and month end activities.
- Contribute to system enhancements or automation initiatives that improve accuracy and reduce manual workload.
- Adhere to the Group’s Non Conformance reporting requirements.
- Will play a key part in new system/ERP implementations.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
Experience working with financial data, reconciliations, or month end processes.- Ability to work across multiple accounting systems and manage data consistency between them.
- Confident using Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data manipulation).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with finance teams across multiple regions.
Desirable
- Knowledge of intercompany transfer pricing frameworks.
- Experience in a multinational or multi entity group environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Dynamics).
- Experience with data analysis tools or BI platforms.

Qualifications
Essential
- AAT Level 3 or Level 4 (or equivalent) OR relevant practical experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with large datasets.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and intercompany accounting.
- Competence in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data manipulation.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet month end deadlines.
