Full job description

Wellingborough Door Company is looking for an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join our growing service and installation team, covering Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, and Bedfordshire

About the role:
You'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of automatic doors (swing and sliding) across a mix of commercial, retail, and industrial sites. You'll work independently across a wide territory while being backed by an established, reputable company with a strong pipeline of contract and reactive work.

What you'll be doing:

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on automatic door systems
Installation of new automatic door systems
Fault-finding and diagnostics on a range of manufacturers (e.g. Besam, Dorma/DORMAKABA, Record, GEZE, Tormax)
Ensuring all work meets current safety standards and regulations (BS EN 16005)
Building strong relationships with facilities management clients and site contacts
Accurate reporting via mobile/field service tools

What we're looking for:

Proven experience servicing and/or installing automatic doors
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Full UK driving licence
Based in or within a reasonable commute of the Wellingborough/Northampton/Milton Keynes/Bedfordshire corridor, or able to cover North London routes
Comfortable with regular travel across a wide territory
Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable working independently
Good customer-facing manner
BS EN16005 Certified
CSCS Card
