Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, contributing to the overall patient experience.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow
Prepare and organise patient correspondence and reminders
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times

Experience

Previous office or administrative experience in a GP clinic or dental practice is required
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office or similar programmes

This position is ideal for organised individuals with a friendly demeanour who enjoy working in a team-oriented environment. Training will be provided where necessary.

Part Time Requirements- minimum 4 days working on site

Full Time Requirements- 37.75 hours a week
