Artifex Homes is a Hertfordshire-based residential construction and renovation company, recently recognised as Best Builder at the Hertfordshire Building Control Awards 2026.
We’re looking for a hard-working and reliable labourer to support our bricklaying team across residential projects in Hertfordshire. No two days are the same, and you’ll play a key role in keeping our sites running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing
- Mixing and supplying mortar to bricklayers throughout the day
- Moving and stacking bricks, blocks, and materials to the work face
- Setting up and maintaining scaffold lifts and trestles
- Keeping the site clean, tidy, and free of trip hazards
- Assisting with general labouring tasks as directed by the site manager
- Loading and unloading deliveries and organising materials
What we’re looking for
- Previous labouring experience on a construction site
- Punctual, dependable, and a strong work ethic
- Able to take direction and work well as part of a team
- Transport to site is your responsibility
This is a self employed position. Pay will depend on experience. All work is in and around Welwyn Garden City. Must drive and have own transport.
Pay: £110.00-£150.00 per day
