Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated employee to help support with the day to day running of the nursery by completing house keeping tasks such as laundry, light cleaning duties and restocking and organisation of items such as tissues, gloves etc to support the team caring for the children.

This role will require a few hours a day which can be discussed. Ideally between 10am - 12pm, daily.

Responsibilities

Complete the laundry duties of the nursery to ensure there is a stock of clean bedding, face flannels etc.
Help staff with housekeeping tasks such as making the children’s beds for nap times.
Clean and sanitise designated areas, including staff room, bathrooms and communal spaces, adhering to organisational standards.
Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, mopped, and polished to a high standard.
Restock amenities such as toiletries, tissues and cleaning supplies.
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties.
Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain organised storage of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Provide excellent customer service by responding politely to requests from staff

Qualifications

Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment is advantageous.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to different shifts or schedules as required.
Basic cooking skills are considered a plus but are not mandatory. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a rewarding position within the hospitality or facilities management sectors. We value professionalism, reliability, and a proactive attitude in our team members.
