Street Steward – Bishop’s Stortford
Optic Security Services Ltd is recruiting professional and
customer-focused Street Stewards to support our contract in
Bishop’s Stortford.
This is a public-facing role where strong communication skills
and a confident, friendly approach are essential. You will act as
a visible presence in the town, assisting members of the public,
supporting local businesses, and helping to maintain a safe and
welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing a high-visibility presence in Bishop’s Stortford
town centre
- Assisting members of the public with directions and
general enquiries
- Supporting community safety initiatives Reporting incidents and liaising with relevant authorities
when required
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times
Requirements:
- Excellent spoken English
- Strong customer service skills
- Good knowledge of the Bishop’s Stortford area
- Professional, reliable, and approachable manner
- Up-to-date DBS certificate (required)
- SIA Security Licence (preferred – includes DBS)
- Valid UTR number (required for self-employed status)
