Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicles Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise within a dynamic environment, contributing to the safety and reliability of our fleet. Applicants should possess strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with a range of tools and equipment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills in vehicle maintenance and repair.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on various types of vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals, then perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs, assembly, and modifications.
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and part replacements.
Perform heavy lifting when required, including moving parts or components during maintenance procedures.
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, including parts used and repairs performed.
Assist with the installation of new equipment or systems within vehicles as needed.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and organisational policies, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
Knowledge of vehicle systems and components for effective diagnosis and repair.
Excellent customer service skills when liaising with clients or colleagues regarding vehicle issues.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during maintenance tasks.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality work standards are met.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
