MAIN PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES OF ROLE:

The primary responsibilities of our Wheeled Loading Shovel Operator is to be responsible for manoeuvring heavy front-end loaders to move bulk materials (such as aggregates, earth, or waste) and safely load them into HGV lorries or hoppers, ensuring stockpiles are monitored and maintained.
You will play a key role in ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant, roadworthy, and operational at all
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operating a loading shovel safely on site
Loading collection and HGV vehicles
Feeding shredders, screeners, and processing equipment
Transporting materials across the facility
Ensuring stockpiles are monitored and maintained
Daily inspection of machine are conducted
Maintenance of machine is performed to include greasing, cleaning, and monitoring.
Inspection and maintenance of any attachments
Recording and reporting on a daily check sheet including hours and any defects.
Start up and shut down procedures of the machine.
To operate machine to a competent level and within site conditions.
Reports any safety and maintenance issues to the Manager.
Work flexibly and be receptive and adaptable to a changing environment within a fast-expanding Company
Ensure PPE is worn at all times
Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by management

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Proven experience as an WLS Operator
A Recognised NPORS or CPCS Loading Shovel License is essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence due to work location
