Full job description

Cooks Blinds & Shutters Ltd are a successful family-owned Company, we are looking for a new member to join our team as an Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant. You will be confident, ideally with an accounts background. This is an opportunity to work within a small and friendly team working within the Accounts department.
We are looking for somebody with an outgoing, friendly personality with a keen eye for detail who has the focus, enthusiasm and an ability to work within a team environment.

General Duties:

Raising Sales Invoices / Applications for Payment
Collection of overdue invoices by telephone, email or letter
Posting and allocation of funds received onto Sage
Monitoring and controlling the retentions owed
General office admin and support
Communicating effectively internally and externally to resolve issues

The ideal candidate:
. Experience within an accounting team
. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
· Strong organisational skills, attention to detail with the ability of multi-tasking
. Good all round IT skills and proficiency in MS Office Products - Word, Outlook & Excel. SAGE would be beneficial, but training can be given.

. Excellent written and oral communication skills
. Polite and professional telephone manner

. Have the ability to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial, colleagues, clients and customers.

Experience:

Accounts experience: 1 years+ (preferred)
Construction industry experience desirable
Customer service

Job Status: Part - Time. Permanent Secure Position
Hours: Part - time hours to be agreed.
Entitlements: 12 days holiday plus bank holidays. Pension

Ability to commute/relocate: Own transport

Experience:

Accounting: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: £13.00 per hour
