East Anglia (Ipswich, Suffolk & Surrounding Areas)

Summary

We are currently working with a number of established Main Contractors and Groundworks & Civil Engineering Subcontractors across East Anglia who are looking to strengthen their pre-construction teams with experienced Estimators.

These opportunities are available with businesses delivering a range of projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and civil engineering sectors.

Whether you're an experienced Estimator looking for a new challenge or seeking a business that can offer genuine career progression, we'd be keen to speak with you.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Producing take-offs and pricing schedules
Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Assessing project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
Supporting the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission
Assisting with cost planning and pre-construction activities

Requirements

Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
Experience working for a Main Contractor, Groundworks Contractor, Civil Engineering Contractor, or Housebuilder
Residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure project experience considered
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
Good communication and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
Positive, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude
