Full job description

We are seeking a professional and vigilant Security & Traffic Officer to join our hospital security & traffic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular patrols and maintaining a secure environment throughout the hospital premises. A key responsibility is managing traffic in the multi storey car parks and issuing Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles that park inconsiderately,

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Maintain a strong and visible security presence across the site
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
Assisting with evacuation procedures
Providing security related comms to members of public
Dealing with any queries and offering additional information
Offer an excellent level of customer service to ensure the smooth running of the daily procedures
Support other positions where necessary including stewarding, Traffic and Car Park teams.
Managing traffic around site
Assisting with access control of car parks
Ticket Machine Maintenance

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

SIA Door Supervisor badge
Traffic Management Training will be provided
DBS Certificate
Previous customer service experience
You must have a good level of verbal and written English
The ability to react calmly in high pressured situations
Good level of physical fitness to conduct patrols over large areas.

Hours of work:

This role will be 48.75 hours per week, 10 hours per day, a 20 min unpaid break per day.

Rate of pay:

The hourly rate will be £13.79.

Due to the nature of this role all applicants must be over 18 years of age.
