Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Garage Reception and Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our garage. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front-desk activities, supervising garage staff, and ensuring smooth communication between clients, team members, and service providers. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and experience in team management to contribute to a well-functioning workshop environment.

Duties

Manage the reception area, greeting clients and handling enquiries professionally via phone and in person.
Schedule appointments and service bookings using QuickBooks or similar software.
Oversee the daily operations of the office, including filing, correspondence, and record keeping.
Supervise administrative staff and support team management activities, ensuring efficient workflow.
Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, and manage billing procedures
Ensure effective communication between clients, technicians, suppliers, and management.
Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and customer service at all times.
Organise office supplies inventory and ensure the workspace remains tidy and functional.

Qualifications

Proven experience in office administration, clerical work or similar roles within an automotive or workshop environment is preferred.
Demonstrable supervisory or team management experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience in human resources functions such as staff supervision and recruitment is desirable.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling.
Professional phone etiquette with a friendly demeanour.

This role requires a motivated individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a professional approach at all times.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
