Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricator / Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components in order to help us fulfill our remit of producing high quality bespoke items. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal, ferrous and non-ferrous specialised metals
- Fabricate components according to technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Interpret engineering drawings and schematics accurately to ensure precise fabrication and assembly
- Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to meet safety and quality standards
- Assist in the development of new fabrication processes and improve existing techniques
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimise production processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of <LOCATION> welding standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for sheet metal work
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation
- Experience in assembly processes within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding and fabrication operations
- Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or mechanical engineering are advantageous but not essential
