We are a well-established roofing Company specialising in traditional hard metal roofing and cladding projects across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. We are seeking an organised and reliable Office Administrator/ Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day running of our business. This position is office based in Sticklepath, Okehampton.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping:
- Process purchase invoices and supplier statements.
- Raise sales invoices and monitor customer payments.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Assist with payroll administration.
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting QuickBooks.
- Liaise with accountants.
Administration:
- Answer telephone calls and respond to emails professionally.
- Manage office filing systems and company records.
- Prepare contracts, and project documentation.
- Order office and material supplies and maintain stock levels.
- Assist with Health & Safety documentation and compliance records.
- Support project managers and directors with administrative tasks.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping and office administration.
- Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional telephone manner and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience within the construction or roofing industry.
- Familiarity with CRM or job management systems.
