Customer Service & Sales Advisor

Location: Witham, Essex (Office Based)
Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
Bonus: Uncapped commission with an OTE c£6,000 per year

Gecko Jewellery is one of the UK's leading jewellery design and distribution companies, supplying beautifully designed jewellery collections to independent retailers throughout the UK and Europe.

For over 30 years we've built our reputation on exceptional design, outstanding customer service and strong, long-term partnerships with our customers.

We're now looking for a motivated and commercially driven Customer Service & Sales Advisor to join our growing sales team. If you enjoy building relationships, achieving targets and helping customers grow their business, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

This is a sales-focused role with responsibility for developing sales across an existing portfolio of independent jewellery retailers.

You'll work closely with our field sales team to strengthen customer relationships, maximise every sales opportunity and deliver an outstanding customer experience. Success in this role comes from understanding your customers' businesses, recommending the right products and helping them stock collections that will sell.

Alongside managing incoming enquiries, you'll proactively contact customers to introduce new collections, discuss promotions, follow up quotations and identify opportunities to increase sales.

This role carries individual sales targets and offers an attractive commission scheme rewarding your success.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts by telephone and email.
Develop strong relationships with independent jewellery retailers, becoming their trusted day-to-day contact.
Achieve monthly sales targets through proactive account management and outbound sales activity.
Promote new collections, seasonal launches and marketing campaigns.
Identify opportunities to increase customer spend through cross-selling, upselling and new product recommendations.
Contact existing and lapsed customers to generate additional business.
Work closely with the field sales team to maximise opportunities within customer accounts.
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Resolve customer enquiries relating to orders, deliveries, returns, credits and payments.
Liaise with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Warehouse and Finance to deliver excellent customer service.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within our ERP system.
Contribute ideas to improve customer engagement and sales performance.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys talking to customers and thrives on achieving results. You're naturally confident, organised and motivated by sales, while recognising that exceptional customer service is key to building long-term relationships.

Ideally you'll have:

Previous experience in internal sales, telesales, account management or a commercially focused customer service role.
A proven ability to achieve sales targets or KPIs.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A confident and professional telephone manner.
A proactive, positive attitude with strong commercial awareness.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good IT skills and experience using CRM or order management systems.
The ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within the jewellery, fashion or giftware industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
