Head of Product

Healthy Investment & Red Rose Assurance

Who we are:

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced financial services professional to make an impact on the future strategy of one of the UK’s longest established mutual providers.

The Rechabite Friendly Society, which has traded as Healthy Investment since the late 1990’s is an ethical provider of With-profits Investment Bonds, ISAs, Junior ISAs and regular savings Plans.

In February 2025 Red Rose Assurance joined the Society. As well as a range of legacy products Red Rose Assurance offer a Shariah compliant ISA and Junior ISA. A market we are keen to grow.

Both Healthy Investment and Red Rose Assurance manage significant books of Child Trust Funds.

We’re a small team of 20 across all functions working together, and as a mutual, always with the member in mind.

What we need:

We’re looking to recruit a product manager to take responsibility for the design, development, compliance, delivery and distribution of our existing range of products, alongside the opportunity to develop new products.

What you’ll do:

· Own the end to end product lifecycle from design to distribution.

· Map consumer duty compliant customer journeys and manage all of the steps along that journey.

· Work closely with the Chief Executive, Compliance Manager and external actuaries to ensure fair value, clear communication and good outcomes for members.

· Develop and track a range of financial and non-financial indicators to monitor consumer duty outcomes and sales performance.

· Have responsibility for identifying and delivering a multi-channel approach to distribution that results in significant increased levels of new business. This will include opening new distribution channels, working with financial advisers, digital affiliates and new partners.

· Manage our Head of Sales, Marketing Coordinator and Sales Administrator.

· Report directly to the board via a Product Committee of key stakeholders including Non-executive Directors.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future strategy of the Society at an exciting time in our 190-year-old history. You will have responsibility for growing new business, increasing membership and being a key player in the next chapter.

What you’ll bring:

· Proven experience of product management and distribution in financial services.

· A deep understanding of consumer duty and financial services regulation.

· Understanding of the market for With-profits business.

· Knowledge of or a desire to learn about Shariah compliant investment opportunities and the market.

· A unique mix of strategic, marketing, compliance and operations knowledge and experience.

· Enthusiasm, drive, creativity and flexibility.
