About The Role

Contract Type: Temporary for 1 year initially

Working Hours: Part Time, 17.5 hours per week 8.30am - 12.00pm

Number of positions: 1

Start Date: 1st September 2026

Salary: £12,816.11 per annum

We are seeking a part-time Attendance Officer to join our team, working term time plus one week.

The role will include working with our families and pupils to support good attendance and punctuality, as well as working closely with our attendance team in school (including the Head of School and Family Support Worker).

We are searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children and their families to attend well.

We are looking for somebody with an understanding of the barriers some families face to good attendance.

We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills and the ability to work both in school and conduct home visits.

About the Candidate

Responsibilities of the role include:

First call response to target families in the event of absence
Home visits to target families in the event of absence
Attendance panel meetings
Meetings with the attendance team to identify trends, patterns and progress towards agreed actions
Writing letters to parents
Lunchtime supervision when needed (e.g., in the event of staff absence)
