Job description

The Arden School of Theatre is looking for a knowledgeable and passionate LX Lecturer in Technical Theatre to join our team on a permanent, part-time (17.5 hours per week) basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the training and development of the next generation of theatre professionals in a creative, student-focused environment, and to be a part of our fastly growing Technical Theatre & Stage Management Course. We are looking for an LX tutor to module lead and teach the practical and software based LX skills across L4-L6 including supervising the student LX departments on productions. There may also be opportunity's to Lighting Design a production alongside working with the students. Knowledge and experience working with ETC EOS Nomad, Vectorworks, and various LX desk's including ETC is needed as a minimum requirement. Our main current desk is an ETC Ion Xe.

UCEN Manchester is seeking a Technical Theatre Lecturer specialising in LX to deliver engaging, industry-informed lecturing across our undergraduate performing arts programmes. You'll play a key role in supporting students specialising in production and technical disciplines, focussing on LX. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise, shape the next generation of theatre professionals, and contribute to a dynamic, creative learning environment. Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Degree
Current and valid industry specialism
Certificate of education or PGCE
Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
Significant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism
Working as a team
Verbal and written communication skills
Meet delivery targets and plans
Accurate and timely reports and records
Positive contribution to planning processes
Proven track record of positive student satisfaction
