Bright Little Stars – Watford | Part Time, 25 hrs/week, 9am–2pm, Mon–Fri, all year round | £12.83 per hour / £17,512 per annum (inc. 5% performance bonus)

We’re recruiting a Kitchen Assistant for our Watford nursery, with a September start. Role: Kitchen Assistant (supporting our full-time Nursery Chef)
Pay: £12.83 per hour / £17,512 per annum (including 5% performance bonus)
Hours: Part Time, 25 hours per week, set shifts 9am–2pm, Monday to Friday, all year round
Location: Bright Little Stars, Watford
Start: September

About the role

This role involves supporting our full-time Nursery Chef to prepare and cook meals for our children, ensuring a high standard of catering in line with our policies, procedures and legislative guidelines, while maintaining our excellent 5-Star Food Hygiene rating.

What we’re looking for

Understanding of the importance of health and hygiene.
Experience in a kitchen environment (nursery or school settings desirable).
Understanding of catering for special diets, allergies and intolerances.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good timekeeping and organisational skills.
An enthusiastic, flexible, can-do attitude.
A clear DBS.
