Location: This position is based in-person at our West End, Glasgow location.
Employment Type: Freelance
Responsibilities:
- Teach piano lessons to students of various ages and skill levels, including both children and adults. If you can also teach vocals, that is a big bonus!
- Prepare students for Rock School / RSL grade exams as well as developing there listening and composition skills
- Provide practice notes to students and their parents to support home-learning between lessons
- Maintain a positive and encouraging teaching environment to support student growth and confidence.
- Encourage and organise student participation in the monthly newsletter.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in teaching piano to a diverse range of ages and skill levels.
- An understanding of music theory and the ability to teach different musical styles.
Skills and Attributes:
- Exceptional proficiency in piano(/voice) with the ability to teach different musical styles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching and music.
- A commitment to making music education exciting and accessible to all students.
Schedule: The teaching days will be weekends, with the potential to add extra afternoons / evenings
Salary and Benefits: Teaching rate: £24 p/h Other work (i.e staff meetings helping with school shows) £11.40 p/h
