The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is a vital member of the Engineering and Compliance Team, trusted in the provision of Quality Control and Procedural Compliance, in support of the UK Submarine Strategic Weapons System (SWS) Program.

Your Responsibilities:

Conduct direct inspection tasks for the Trident Weapon System and associated equipment, with a keen eye
Ensure UK and US approved safe system of work is adhered to
Conduct inspections by applying relevant accept/reject criteria
Identify and address any discrepancies during inspection and processing activities, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Document processing in accordance with safe systems of work.
Adhere to stringent safety and quality standards
Support Operational overtime which will be discussed and agreed in advance with Line Management

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Proven experience in a Mechanical / Electrical (Electromechanical) hands on role
Inspection / Quality experience is preferred, but not essential – we value your potential and commitment to learning!
A keen eye for detail together with evidence-based decision-making
Ability to adapt in an environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

Lockheed Martin UK – Strategic Systems (LMUK SS) is the single contractor providing specialist Waterfront In-Service Support to one of the Royal Navy's Submarine Programs. The company provides the Ministry of Defence (MoD) with safe, efficient and responsive support. LMUK SS, as part of the ABL Alliance with AWE and Babcock, is also responsible for the management of operations at RNAD Coulport.
