Full job description

Grimsby

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to support site-based activities across a range of engineering and construction projects for Allied Protek. This is a hands-on role focused on testing, validation, and ensuring systems are installed and operating correctly.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out commissioning activities on systems, plant, and equipment
Perform on-site testing, inspections, and fault finding
Review technical documentation to understand system requirements
Record test results and prepare basic reports
Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and site personnel
Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and quality standards

Requirements

Experience in commissioning, testing, or a similar engineering role
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, or process systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work on-site with teams
Willingness to travel to various project sites as required

Additional Information

Contract role
Site-based, with travel to multiple locations depending on project needs, could include international travel at times.
HQ – based in Grimsby.
Rate is dependent on experience
