About the Role
This isn’t just a driving job – it’s a hands-on logistics role where safety, professionalism, and reliability matter. As an LGV 1 Tanker Driver, you’ll split your time between professional driving and the safe loading/unloading of non-ADR bulk liquids. You’ll also be a key representative of our brand, ensuring excellent customer service and operational compliance at every stop.
Full training will be provided by one of our experienced, designated Driver Trainers, ensuring you receive the knowledge, skills, and support needed to operate our tanker vehicles safely and confidently.
To support our nationwide operations, this role will include overnight stays (nights out) when required. Successful applicants should be flexible, as nights out will be a regular part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive professionally, safely, and within the law
- Complete daily vehicle and tachograph checks to full compliance standards
- Load and unload tankers efficiently and safely
- Deliver products to customers on time, with a strong focus on service and care
- Maintain a clean, compliant vehicle and equipment
- Represent the company positively and courteously on UK roads
- Work collaboratively with the wider transport and operations teams
What We’re Looking For
- A reliable, flexible, friendly, and customer-focused approach
- Previous tanker experience is desirable but not essential
- Full LGV 1 (C+E) licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- Valid Driver CPC (DQC) and Driver Card
- Strong knowledge of EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- A safety-first mindset and commitment to maintaining compliance

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an on-site interview and driving assessment. As part of the application process, we will carry out driving licence checks and a standard DBS check. Your application may be assessed based on current or recent driving infringements.
