Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Podiatrist to join our Outpatients team as part of our bank. You will assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, helping patients maintain mobility, independence, and overall wellbeing.

St Hughs Hospital offers treatment across all major medical specialties and care at every step of the process, from initial consultations, assessments and diagnostic tests to treatment, rehabilitations and post-operative care.

Part of the Healthcare Management Trust, HMT St Hughs is a non-profit organisation using their surpluses to fund medical research, educational grants and dementia charities

Key Responsibilities

Manage a clinical caseload of patients with podiatric needs
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Diagnose and treat routine and complex foot conditions
Deliver patient education, including diabetic foot care
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with clinical governance standards
Support early detection and prevention of complications
Contribute to service development and continuous improvement

Requirements

Essential:

BSc (or equivalent) in Podiatry
HCPC registered
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
Understanding of private healthcare environments
Ability to manage workload and deliver high-quality patient care

Desirable:

Membership of the Royal College of Podiatry
Postgraduate training (e.g. biomechanics, diabetes care, nail surgery)
