Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Structural Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of a diverse range of projects. Reporting directly to the Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading structural design activities, mentoring junior engineers, managing project delivery, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and analysis of projects across a variety of sectors.
- Produce and review engineering calculations, specifications, technical reports, and detailed design drawings.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant UK Standards, Eurocodes, client requirements, and industry best practices.
- Undertake independent checking and approval of calculations and design work completed by other engineers.
- Manage project deliverables, programmes, and resources.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to graduate and junior engineers.
- Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Attend site visits, surveys, inspections, and meetings as required.
- Support business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the company.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A Degree (BEng/MEng) in Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of 7 years' post-graduate structural design experience.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or be working towards chartership.
- Proven experience delivering structural engineering projects within industrial, infrastructure, energy, Residential, Education, Healthcare, or related sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK design standards, Eurocodes, and relevant industry regulations.
- Experience using structural analysis and design software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities.
