We pride ourselves on delivering a first-class service through our skilled engineers, excellent customer care and commitment to quality. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our expanding team.
The Role:
This is a varied, hands-on role working across multiple customer sites carrying out reactive and planned maintenance works.
The ideal candidate will have a strong maintenance background, preferably with a joinery or carpentry trade, and be comfortable undertaking a wide variety of building maintenance tasks.
Most work is within approximately two hours of your home location. Although we work nationally, overnight stays are infrequent.
Typical Duties:
You'll be expected to carry out a range of maintenance tasks including:
- Carry out planned and reactive building maintenance across commercial and residential sites.
- Complete general joinery, carpentry and repair works.
- Undertake basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, taps and pipework.
- Carry out minor electrical works such as replacing light fittings, switches and sockets.
- Complete external maintenance repairs.
- Perform internal repairs including patch plastering, decorating and silicone sealing.
- Diagnose faults and identify cost-effective repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers and site representatives.
- Record completed works using our digital job management system, including photographs.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment.
- Undertake any other maintenance duties appropriate to the role.
This role is varied, and no two days are the same. You'll be expected to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks depending on customer requirements and your skills.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience within facilities maintenance or property maintenance
- Multi-skilled with strong practical abilities
- Joinery or carpentry experience preferred
- Good fault-finding skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Flexible approach to travel and workload
Desirable Qualifications:
- NVQ or City & Guilds in Carpentry/Joinery or another trade
- PASMA
- IPAF
- Asbestos Awareness
- Manual Handling
- First Aid at Work
- ECS or CSCS Card
(Training can be provided where required.)
