Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic financial services environment, working with leading accounting software and systems such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and specialised data entry processes. The position is paid and ideal for individuals eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our finance department.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling
Assist with data entry tasks related to financial transactions and records
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Reconcile accounts using various accounting software platforms such as Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with organisational policies
Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and reporting accuracy
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and general financial processes
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience within a financial services environment is beneficial but not essential
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory
