Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Assistant

About Us
The Side By Side is an independent café, bar and restaurant in Cleethorpes. We’re focused on creating a venue people genuinely want to spend time in — great food, quality drinks and a strong atmosphere from brunch through to evening service.
We’re looking for someone creative, organised and proactive to take ownership of our social media and local marketing.
The Role
This is a hands-on role creating content, growing our audience and helping drive bookings and repeat visits.
You’ll work closely with the owners to plan campaigns, create engaging content and make sure The Side By Side stays visible online and locally.
Responsibilities
- Create and post content across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- Film and edit short-form video content (Reels/TikTok)
- Plan and schedule weekly social media content
- Photograph food, drinks and venue atmosphere
- Write captions and create promotional campaigns
- Manage community engagement (comments, messages, reviews)
- Monitor performance and report on growth and results
- Support launches, events and seasonal campaigns
- Work with local influencers and partnerships where appropriate
- Update promotional materials and in-venue marketing
What We’re Looking For
- Experience running social media accounts for hospitality, retail or local businesses
- Confident creating content using a phone and editing apps
- Good eye for branding and aesthetics
- Comfortable appearing on camera (bonus, not essential)
- Organised and able to work independently
- Passion for food, drink and hospitality

- Email marketing knowledge
