Company description
ALT are an air and sound testing company working on all types of buildings around the South East, as well as further afield. We pride ourselves on our customer service and technical expertise. Our helpful, personal and flexible approach is coupled with being well organised and responsive, as well as competitively priced. We work closely as a team despite operating remotely from each other and it is important that we communicate regularly and support each other to achieve our business and personal goals.
Job description
Air tightness testing is a requirement for almost all new build properties in the UK as per Part L of the Building Regulations. Air tightness testing is carried out in houses and flats to measure air leakage, ensuring that energy requirements are met in order to reduce CO2 emissions.
Due to a change in personnel, we are now seeking to recruit a new technician to join our team
The job involves a mixture of driving to and from sites, dealing with people (on the phone and face-to-face), physical work (moving test equipment around site) technical aspects (taking measurements and using software) and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook based tasks
We are ideally looking for someone who is familiar with working on building sites, but who is looking for a more technical role. We provide in-house and external training to be able to carry out the job so no previous experience of air testing is required, all relevant training and equipment will be provided. A valid CSCS card would be beneficial but is not essential.
We are looking for someone ideally based in the Slough area.
For the right person, if interested this could also evolve into some other more office-based tasks (working from home) to support the Technical Manager and the Operations Manager (full training available), however is not essential for the role
If you have applied for this role previously, please do not re-apply
