Job Overview

Embark on an exciting journey as a Trainee Motor Mechanic, where you will develop essential skills in vehicle maintenance and repair under the guidance of experienced professionals. This paid internship offers a hands-on learning experience, allowing you to gain practical knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and techniques. If you’re passionate about cars, eager to learn, and ready to build a solid foundation in mechanical work, this role is perfect for you! You will be involved in supporting routine maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, and understanding the fundamentals of vehicle diagnostics in a dynamic workshop environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with the inspection and diagnosis of vehicle issues using schematics and technical manuals
Support the disassembly and assembly of vehicle components with hand tools and power tools
Help perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Participate in equipment repair and troubleshooting to ensure workshop tools and machinery are functioning properly
Aid in heavy lifting activities safely to move parts or vehicles as needed
Contribute to welding tasks and other fabrication work under supervision
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about basic vehicle concerns

Qualifications

Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in automotive technology
Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, or manuals is a plus
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment safely and effectively
Willingness to learn assembly techniques and maintenance procedures
Physically capable of performing heavy lifting and manual tasks regularly
Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
