Job Title: Head of Events

Location: Hurley House Hotel, Berkshire, UK

Reports to: Managing Director

Salary: £60,000 per annum plus sales related bonuses

Hurley House Hotel is an award-winning privately owned boutique hotel that opened in 2016. It is renowned for its exceptional hospitality, and bespoke event experiences. Located in the picturesque village of Hurley near Henley-on-Thames, Marlow and Maidenhead, we offer luxurious accommodations, elegant dining, and outstanding event spaces, making us a prime destination for weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Events Head to drive sales and take charge of all events at Hurley House Hotel. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess strong sales acumen, and have a proven track record in selling and executing high-end events.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

Proactively generate leads and convert enquiries into confirmed event bookings, achieving revenue targets.
Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and local businesses to drive event sales.
Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase the hotel’s event facilities.
Develop promotional strategies, packages, and seasonal offers.
Maintain exceptional customer service and ensure all guest expectations are exceeded.

Administrative & Financial Responsibilities:

Monitor and report on event sales performance, identifying areas for growth.
Maintain accurate records of all bookings, contracts, and sales correspondence in the hotel’s CRM system.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely invoicing and payments.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience in event sales and business development within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel or venue.
Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of the local market and industry trends is a plus.
