Oakleaf Enterprise is a Mental Health Charity based in Surrey.
The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver Oakleaf's marketing and communications activity, increasing awareness of the charity, strengthening engagement with supporters and stakeholders, and supporting fundraising, social enterprise and service delivery objectives.
The postholder will manage Oakleaf's digital presence, campaigns, publications, brand identity and communications, working across the organisation to share the impact of Oakleaf's work through engaging and creative content.
Main duties & responsibilities
1. Act as the primary owner of Oakleaf's website, overseeing content management, user experience, SEO and ongoing development in collaboration with external providers and internal stakeholders.
2. Manage Oakleaf's social media channels and email marketing activity (Mailchimp).
3. Plan and deliver marketing campaigns that support fundraising, awareness and organisational objectives.
4. Create engaging content including social media posts (primarily Instagram and LinkedIn), newsletters, blogs, case studies, website content and press releases.
5. Manage Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Google Ads and external advertising campaigns.
6. Work with colleagues across the organisation to gather and share stories, case studies, achievements and impact.
7. Ensure all communications are consistent with Oakleaf's brand, tone of voice and values.
8. Produce digital and printed marketing materials using Canva, Marq and Adobe Creative Suite
9. Create leaflets, brochures, banners, presentations and promotional resources.
10. Lead the production of organisational publications including newsletters, impact reports and fundraising materials.
11. Film, edit and produce photography and video content for campaigns, events and social media.
12. Maintain Oakleaf's brand identity across all communications and materials.
Fundraising events and community engagement.
1. Support fundraising campaigns, events and awareness initiatives through effective marketing and communications.
2. Attend events, including occasional evenings and weekends, to provide marketing support and capture content.
3. Develop relationships with local media, businesses, community groups and stakeholders to raise awareness of Oakleaf’s Mission & purpose.
4. Represent Oakleaf at networking and community events where appropriate.
Reporting and General Responsibilities
1. Monitor and report on website, email and social media performance, providing insights and recommendations.
2. Maintain effective communication with colleagues, volunteers, supporters and external stakeholders.
3. Ensure compliance with GDPR, confidentiality requirements, Health & Safety legislation and organisational policies.
4. Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Chief Executive Officer.
Person Specification
Essential
1. Experience in a marketing, communications or digital marketing role.
2. Strong social media management and content creation skills.
3. Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
4. Experience using Canva, Mailchimp and website content management Systems (WordPress).
5. Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics and digital marketing best practice.
6. Strong design, photography and video editing skills.
7. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and Deadlines.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
Desirable
1. Experience working within the charity, not-for-profit or social enterprise sector.
2. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
3. Experience managing advertising campaigns through Google Ads.
4. Experience supporting fundraising campaigns and events.
5. Experience producing annual reports, impact reports or organizational publications.
