Job Description
CSL Surveys (Engineering) Ltd is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated CAD Technician to join our growing team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with AutoCAD experience who is looking to develop a long-term career within the surveying and engineering industry. The role will involve producing high-quality survey drawings from topographical, measured building and laser scanning survey data, working alongside our experienced surveyors and technical team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming survey data into accurate and detailed deliverables for a wide range of clients across the construction, engineering, architectural and property sectors.
The Role
As a CAD Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Producing accurate 2D survey drawings using AutoCAD.
- Drafting topographical and measured building surveys from field survey data.
- Processing and interpreting survey information captured using modern surveying equipment and laser scanners.
- Working with 3D point cloud data to create detailed survey drawings and models.
- Assisting with quality control and ensuring all deliverables meet company standards.
- Liaising with surveyors and project managers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of CAD workflows and procedures.

Who Are We Looking For?
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
Desirable
- Experience drafting topographical surveys and measured building surveys.
- Experience working with 3D point cloud data from laser scanning surveys.
- Knowledge of surveying principles and survey data processing.
- Experience with surveying, engineering or architectural projects.
Candidates with limited surveying experience but strong AutoCAD skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
