Overview

Uniguard are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and prompt response to incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional setting, ensuring safety and security at all times.

Duties

Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
Conduct regular patrols of the site to identify potential hazards or unauthorised access
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or vandalism
Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing first aid when necessary
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks
Enforce site policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards
Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required
Assist visitors and staff with security-related queries or concerns

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance and loss prevention techniques
Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment
Knowledge of first aid procedures and certification is highly desirable
Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally
Organised with the ability to document incidents accurately and thoroughly

This position is vital in maintaining a safe environment for everyone on-site. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, attentiveness, and a proactive approach to security responsibilities.
