Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Taxi Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, good communication abilities, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. This role involves navigating urban and rural routes, ensuring passengers reach their destinations promptly and comfortably. The position offers an opportunity to work flexible hours while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Wages are to be discussed. Also I can help you get your hackney license.
Must be between 25-65, must also be available on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a taxi vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations in a timely manner
- Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and luggage handling as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation
- Plan routes efficiently using GPS or map systems to minimise delays
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing excellent customer service
- Keep accurate records of trips, fares, and vehicle maintenance schedules
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management
Skills
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable
- Proven ability in driving various types of vehicles safely and responsibly
- Physical capability for heavy lifting when assisting passengers with luggage or equipment
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with diverse clients
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to perform routine checks and minor repairs
- Organised approach to planning routes and managing schedules for timely service delivery
