The Role
Working closely with the General Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, leading from the front and ensuring every guest receives outstanding service.
You'll be responsible for:
- Supporting the overall operation of the pub
- Leading busy service periods and motivating the team
- Delivering exceptional hospitality and customer experiences
- Training, coaching and developing front-of-house staff
- Managing stock control, ordering and cellar operations
- Maintaining high standards across service, cleanliness and presentation
- Assisting with recruitment, rotas and team development
- Supporting the delivery of sales and profitability targets
- Helping to build Empire Tavern's reputation within the local community
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience in hospitality management
- Experience in a high-volume pub, bar or restaurant environment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Passion for hospitality, food and drink
- Knowledge of craft beer, wine and premium spirits
- Experience with stock management and cellar operations
- Cocktail and barista experience advantageous
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail
- A hands-on approach with a genuine love for service
