Full-time / Monday-Friday (4 day working week)

We are looking for a qualified Early Years Practitioner, for our well-established under 3's nursery in Haddington.

At Pear Tree Church Street, we are dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where our youngest children feel safe, valued and supported to thrive. We understand the importance of the early years and are passionate about helping babies and toddlers build confidence, curiosity and strong foundations for future learning through caring relationships and meaningful play experiences.

Filled with natural light, our spacious under 3s playrooms provide a calm and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. Children also enjoy access to our large outdoor garden, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor play, exploration and fresh air as part of their daily experiences.

We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and motivated Early Years professionals who are passionate about supporting children in their earliest stages of development and creating a positive, nurturing start to their learning journey.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in creating engaging learning experiences and supporting children’s individual needs within the room. Your responsibilities will include contributing to room planning, preparing stimulating play and learning activities, setting up the environment for the day ahead and interacting positively with children throughout their daily routines. You will also build strong professional relationships with parents and colleagues, while supporting and supervising indoor and outdoor play, as well as snack and meal times, ensuring children feel safe, happy and valued at all times.

So, if you’re an experienced Nursery Practitioner either with an SVQ/HNC in childcare or a BA degree qualification in early years education, this is a great opportunity to develop yourself professionally in an environment that nurtures staff including a thorough induction programme and ongoing training.
