Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly , hardworking Barista/Front of House (FOH) Cafe team member to help create a welcoming environment for our customers with the ability to work across the various roles . The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and working efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant café environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable experience from their visit.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or other light snacks as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including sanitising work surfaces and equipment regularly.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Manage cash register operations, handle transactions accurately, and provide correct change.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management to ensure supplies are maintained throughout shifts.
Be prepared to assist in other roles at the cafe if the busy day demands this.

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar FOH role within a café or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude is advantageous.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences while developing your skills within the hospitality industry.

Due to our location, it would be preferable for the candidate to have transport.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
