JNJ Detailing Ltd – Halesowen, Birmingham
Full-time, permanent
Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm
Salary: £35,000–£50,000+ depending on proven experience and performance
Create Paid Social Ads That Actually Generate Customers
JNJ Detailing is looking for a Paid Social Creative Specialist / Performance Creative Strategist to take ownership of the creative behind our paid advertising.
This is not primarily an organic social media role.
We are looking for someone who understands how to turn customer problems, desires, objections and proof into paid social creative that generates qualified enquiries and profitable revenue.
You will work primarily on creative for Meta advertising, with opportunities to develop creative for other paid social platforms as JNJ grows.
We need someone who can do more than edit attractive videos.
You should understand:
Hook → Problem → Desire → Proof → Offer → Objection Handling → Call to Action
and how each part affects advertising performance.
You will research the customer, develop angles, write scripts, create and direct content, edit ads, analyse performance and use the data to decide what we should create next.
About JNJ
JNJ Detailing is a rapidly growing premium automotive protection business based in Halesowen, Birmingham.
We specialise in:
- Paint Protection Film
- Full-car PPF
- Stealth / satin PPF transformations
- Colour-change PPF
- Ceramic coatings
- Premium vehicle protection
We regularly work on Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, Range Rover, BMW M, Mercedes-AMG, Audi RS and other premium and performance vehicles.
JNJ has built an established social audience of approximately 300,000 followers and invests significantly into acquiring customers through digital advertising.
We are now building a more sophisticated performance-marketing operation.
The next step is having somebody whose primary responsibility is making the creative itself perform better.
The Role
Your responsibility is simple:
Develop paid advertising creative that helps JNJ acquire more qualified customers, at a lower acquisition cost and higher return on advertising spend.
You will work closely with the people responsible for media buying, sales and the founders.
The media buyer will manage budgets, campaigns and account optimisation.
You will own the creative problem.
That means continually answering questions such as:
- Which customer segment should we speak to?
- What problem matters most to them?
- What is stopping them buying PPF?
- Which hooks are working?
- Which angles are producing qualified leads?
- Where are viewers dropping off?
- Which proof increases trust?
- Which objections should we address?
- Which winning ads should we iterate?
- Which losing concepts should we stop producing?
- What should we test next?
What You Will Be Doing
You will be responsible for:
- Researching JNJ's target customers
- Understanding their pains, desires and buying objections
- Researching competitors and advertising angles
- Developing paid-social creative concepts
- Building testing plans around different angles
- Writing hooks
- Writing short-form scripts
- Writing advert copy and CTAs
- Creating UGC-style advertising
- Filming advert content
- Directing JNJ staff, customers or creators
- Appearing on camera where appropriate
- Editing paid-social videos
- Creating multiple hook and opening variations
- Repurposing winning organic content into paid advertising
- Creating advert variations from winning concepts
- Reviewing creative performance
- Identifying winning and losing patterns
- Producing new iterations based on actual performance data
- Maintaining a structured creative testing pipeline
Types of Creative You May Produce
Your work could include:
UGC-Style Advertising
Natural presenter-led videos that feel like content rather than traditional advertising.
Founder / Expert-Led Creative
Using JNJ's team to explain customer problems, demonstrate expertise and build trust.
Problem-Aware Ads
Examples:
- Stone chips destroying new-car paint
- Why cheap PPF quotes are not comparable
- Why PPF installations can look different despite using similar film
- Protecting a £100,000+ vehicle from road damage
- Problems with poor-quality PPF installations
Transformation Creative
Before-and-after content showing:
- Stealth transformations
- Full-car PPF
- Colour PPF
- Premium vehicle transformations
Proof Creative
Using:
- Customer reviews
- Customer vehicles
- Installation footage
- Close-up workmanship
- Testimonials
- Case studies
- Workshop processes
Direct-Response Advertising
Creative built specifically to move a qualified customer towards:
- Enquiring
- Completing the qualification process
- Booking a consultation
- Speaking to Sales
You Must Understand Performance
We are not looking for someone who judges creative based on whether it "looks good."
You should understand how creative affects metrics including:
- Hook / hold rate
- 3-second views
- Watch time
- Retention
- Click-through rate
- Landing-page behaviour
- Cost per lead
- Cost per qualified lead
- Customer acquisition cost
- Conversion rate
- Booked revenue
- ROAS
You do not need to be the person managing the advertising account.
However, you must be capable of reading performance data and using it to decide what creative should be produced next.
How We Think About Creative
JNJ does not want to produce one advert and hope it works.
We want a structured creative-testing system.
For example:
Customer problem
Stone chips on a new Porsche
↓
Angle
"Most owners protect their Porsche after the first damage appears."
↓
Hooks
Create 5 different openings
↓
Creative
Create different presenter, visual and proof variations
↓
Test
Run through paid social
↓
Analyse
Which hooks and angles produce qualified customers?
↓
Iterate
Create more versions of the winners and kill the losers
You should enjoy this process.
Organic vs Paid
We still believe good organic content can provide excellent inspiration for paid advertising.
However, your primary responsibility is commercial creative performance.
The success of this role will not be judged primarily by followers or viral views.
We care about:
- Qualified leads
- Cost per qualified lead
- Customer acquisition
- Booked revenue
- ROAS
- The number of repeatable winning advertising concepts you create
A video receiving 1 million views but generating no commercially useful action is not automatically a success.
A video receiving 40,000 views and generating £50,000 of profitable PPF bookings may be considerably more valuable.
