Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Activity Leader to organise and oversee engaging activities for participants of all ages. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for sports, teaching, and fostering a positive environment that encourages participation and development. This paid role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to community engagement while developing valuable leadership skills.

Duties

Plan, organise, and lead a variety of recreational and sports activities tailored to different age groups and abilities.
Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to relevant health and safety guidelines.
Motivate participants to actively engage in activities, promoting teamwork and personal growth.
Provide instruction and coaching during activities, offering guidance and feedback to improve skills.
Maintain equipment and activity areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and well-prepared for each session.
Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all individuals regardless of experience level.
Record attendance and provide feedback on programme effectiveness to management.
Enhance individuals to use fine motor skills and promote health and well being.
Working outside of the usual activities for care homes and using imagination and creativeness.

Qualifications

Knowledge of human anatomy and physical development principles is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging programmes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Enthusiasm for promoting healthy lifestyles and active participation.
Relevant certifications in sports coaching or first aid are a plus but not essential. This position provides an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about activity leadership and community engagement, offering valuable experience in programme organisation and participant development within a supportive environment.
Experience in promoting health and well being and promoting fine motor skills

Pay: £12.71 per hour
