Bradford College are recruiting for a Curriculum Team Leader to join our exceptional Early Years, Education and Social Care department.
We are seeking an exceptional Curriculum Team Leader to provide strategic and operational leadership across our ITT provision, ensuring programmes are innovative, compliant, and deliver outstanding outcomes for trainee teachers. In this influential role, you will lead curriculum development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities, while managing and supporting a team of teaching and training professionals. Working closely with schools, placement partners, and key stakeholders, you will drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment, champion best practice, and ensure trainees are fully equipped to meet the demands of the profession. Responsibilities include:
- To be responsible for managing the performance of courses in the curriculum areas, specifically in the areas of student enrolment, retention and achievement targets; quality of teaching and learning; observations, appraisal and staff development; student satisfaction and equality and diversity targets.
- To ensure appropriate records, registers, staff and student timetables are maintained and available as required by internal management information systems and external audit regimes.
- To ensure that systems are in place to ensure that effective Initial Advice and Guidance takes place and that all programme MIS data is interrogated to support the achievement of intended outcomes.
- To be responsible for the overall management of the curriculum team.
- To undertake teaching at a level agreed with the Head of Department and Head of School.
- To be responsible for the business development and recruitment in the curriculum areas.
- To ensure effective management of the curriculum’s physical resources.
- To maintain a safe and secure learning environment by ensuring regular risk assessments are undertaken.
- To contribute to the collegial culture, mission and strategic objectives and to work with colleagues in other curriculum and service areas across the College.
- To support the Head of Department and Head of School in the planning, innovation, design and development of curriculum programmes and cross-college marketing activities.
- To promote excellent teaching and effective learning across the curriculum area, and to disseminate and share good practice across the College.
- To be compliant with the College's quality assurance processes.

Education & Training
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree or appropriate professional qualification.
- A relevant teaching qualification- QTS is essential
- GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale
- GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale
Experience
- Experience in managing curriculum delivery within Higher Education
- Experience in course development and recruitment
- Experience in student pastoral care and disciplinary procedures.
- Experience in the interpretation of data sets to inform and enable performance management.
- Academic or industrial, or commercial experience in an area relevant to the programme.
- Experience in Good teaching/training.
- Experience in course leadership responsibilities.
