Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Kitchen Staff member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality bubble tea, coffee, and food items while maintaining excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and customer service standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation

Prepare and serve bubble tea, coffee, and other beverages .
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
Monitor ingredient levels and inform management when stock needs replenishing.
Maintain cleanliness of beverage preparation equipment and workstations.

Food Preparation

Prepare food items .
Portion, assemble, and present food to a high standard.
Assist with stock rotation.
Ensure all food is prepared safely and served within quality guidelines.

Cleaning & Hygiene

Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and food preparation areas.
Wash dishes and maintain a clean and organised kitchen throughout each shift.
Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain rubbish and recycling areas.
Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and sanitation procedures.

Customer Service

Provide friendly and professional service to customers when required.
Assist with taking customer orders and handling enquiries.
Work effectively with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.

General Duties

Receive and store deliveries appropriately.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Report equipment faults or health and safety concerns to management.
Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in food preparation, cafés, bubble tea shops, or hospitality is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices (Food Hygiene Certificate is an advantage).

Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.

Working Conditions

Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Lifting and carrying stock and supplies within safe manual handling guidelines.

Health & Safety

Employees are expected to comply with all company health and safety policies, food hygiene regulations, and local authority requirements. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn where required, and all food handling procedures must be followed to ensure a safe working environment.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
