What the Role Involves

You'll work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students in lessons and small groups. You’ll assist us in:

Helping students access learning based on their individual needs.
Offering encouragement, reassurance and structure so students can learn with confidence.
Supporting communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
Providing personal care, postural management and other interventions.
Using creative approaches; practical, sensory, visual, or tech based in order to help students engage in a way that is right for them.
Contributing to a calm learning environment.
Building trusting and professional relationships with students, families and colleagues.
Celebrating progress and achievements, however big or small.

No two days are the same, and you'll be part of a friendly, skilled and highly supportive staff team who work closely together and look after one another.

A British Sign Language qualification is desirable, and additional remuneration may be offered to candidates who can demonstrate competence in this area.
