Here at GXO, we are recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting our customer, Amazon. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading your own team, helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

This is a full time, permanent position, working a 3 on 3 off shift pattern, 06:00-18:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £43,777.00.00 per annum, and 20 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Manage and lead the shift, striving to maximise productivity, quality, and efficiency across the Warehouse
Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement to ensure efficient and accurate process
Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
Management of the warehouse training requirements and function
Proactively handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support in line with company policies

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Proven experience of managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment at a similar level
The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent
planning skills
Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
Positive, people-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
