Statham & Company are hiring: 3.5 Tonne Driver & Furniture Porter - Immediate Start Available
Statham & Company are expanding our team and we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic 3.5 Tonne Driver & Furniture Porter to join us. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will play a key part in supporting our removals operations, ensuring furniture and belongings are moved safely, securely and with care, while providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle safely and responsibly to and from client locations
- Assisting with the careful loading, unloading and moving of furniture and household effects
- Working as part of a team to complete removals smoothly and efficiently
- Taking care to protect items during handling, using equipment and protective materials provided
- Maintaining a professional and courteous manner with clients at all times
- Checking vehicles and equipment to ensure they remain in safe working order
- Following health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
What we’re looking for:
- A valid driving licence (with eligibility to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle)
- Physically fit and confident with regular lifting and manual handling
- A hardworking, reliable and honest approach to work
- The ability to work well as part of a team and contribute positively
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
Desirable but not essential:
- Previous experience in the removals sector
- Knowledge of manual handling and safe lifting techniques
