Job Description: Driver Storeman (Secure Destruction Division)

Company: Roberts Group International (RGI)

Division: Secure Destruction & Textile Circularity

Vehicle Class: 12t – 18t (Category C)

Location: Head Office WA8 - Driving to various sites around the UK

Role Overview

We are seeking a Driver Storeman with HGV Class 2 to join our Secure Destruction Division. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of palletised goods, specialised cargo, and express shipments across the UK. This role is vital in protecting our clients’ intellectual property. You will be responsible for the secure collection of end-of-life branded and IP-sensitive textiles, ensuring a seamless and auditable chain of custody from collection to final destruction or de-branding at our facility.

Key Responsibilities

Secure Logistics & Collections

Chain of Custody: Execute secure collections of IP-sensitive materials, ensuring all items are accounted for and tracked from client premises to the vehicle.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily "walk-around" safety checks (tyres, fluids, lights) and report any defects immediately.
Documentation: Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery notes, and digital tachograph records.
Professional Representation: Act as the face of RGI when visiting high-profile business customers, maintaining a professional demeanour and a high level of security consciousness.
Compliance: Operate 12-18t rigid vehicles in full compliance with HGV regulations

Secure Storeman & Processing

Controlled Intake: Unload secure consignments into a restricted-access area of the warehouse and verify manifests against physical stock.
Destruction Prep: Organise and sort branded materials for de-branding or shredding.
Audit Documentation: Issue and manage waste transfer notes and update consignment locations on in-house software.

Requirements & Qualifications

License & Certification: Valid Category C (Class 2) license, CPC, and Digital Tachograph card.
Security Clearance: Must be willing to undergo enhanced background checks (DBS/CRB) due to the sensitive nature of the cargo.
Forklift License: Counterbalance FLT certification would be an advantage but not essential for loading/unloading secure bins and pallets
