As the group continues to grow, we are looking for an energetic and organised Group Business Development Representative to become the front-end growth engine for the business.
This is a pivotal role focused on generating, qualifying and nurturing opportunities across the group’s services, including:
- Print
- Signage
- Vehicle graphics
- Forget Me Not advertising
- Digital marketing services
You will help identify where clients could benefit from more than one service, creating new opportunities for the wider sales team and ensuring every lead is followed up properly.
The Role
As Group Business Development Representative, your primary purpose will be to generate and qualify new business opportunities across Footprint Group’s full range of services.
You will be responsible for outbound prospecting, following up inbound and campaign-generated leads, reactivating previous customers, identifying cross-sell opportunities and booking qualified appointments for the relevant sales specialists.
This is not a pure closing role. We are looking for someone who is proactive, curious, CRM-driven and confident starting conversations. You will help build the group’s pipeline by making sure the right prospects are engaged, nurtured and passed to the right person at the right time.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and approach new business prospects across target sectors.
- Generate warm and qualified leads for the group’s sales team.
- Carry out outbound prospecting by phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels.
- Reactivate old, dormant or lapsed client accounts.
- Build relationships through networking, referrals and local business engagement.
Cross-Selling Across the Group
- Identify opportunities to introduce clients to additional Footprint Group services.
- Spot natural cross-sell opportunities, such as:
- Print clients who may need signage.
- Signage clients who may need vehicle graphics.
- Forget Me Not advertisers who may benefit from digital marketing.
- Your Lead Kit leads who may also need print, signage or campaign support.
- Work with internal specialists to ensure each opportunity is directed to the right person.
- Develop a strong understanding of the group’s full service offering so you can confidently identify client needs.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Qualify leads based on need, fit, timing and commercial opportunity.
- Book qualified meetings and appointments for the relevant sales specialists.
- Create and maintain opportunities within the CRM.
- Keep all prospect, customer and pipeline records accurate and up to date.
- Track follow-up activity and ensure no opportunity is missed.
- Provide regular updates to the Group Sales Manager on activity, pipeline and progress.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, well organised and confident speaking to business owners, marketing teams and decision-makers.
You do not need to be a traditional hard closer. The right person will be someone who enjoys opening doors, asking good questions, building relationships and creating opportunities for others to convert.
You will be:

Experience Required
Previous experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:
- Sales
- Business development
- Lead generation
- Appointment setting
- CRM-based sales activity
- Marketing, print, signage, advertising or digital services
Experience in the print, signage, marketing or advertising sector would be advantageous, but it is not essential. More important is your ability to communicate well, stay organised and generate quality conversations.
Licence / Certification
