The Role
You will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing a variety of metal products to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have previous powder coating experience and take pride in producing quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal components for powder coating, including cleaning, degreasing, masking, and hanging parts.
- Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray equipment.
- Operate curing ovens and monitor curing cycles.
- Inspect finished products to ensure a consistent, high-quality finish.
- Carry out quality checks and rectify any coating defects.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the powder coating area remains clean and organised.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Support the wider fabrication and production team when required.
Requirements
- Previous powder coating experience is essential.
- Good knowledge of powder coating processes and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking, and punctual.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
