The Role:
The Project Coordinator / Business Analyst will work within the Placements Team, reporting to the Placement Manager (Mandatory Placements). The post holder will manage and deliver small-scale projects relating to the development and enhancement of placement management systems, ensuring they are fully functional, integrated, and fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities:

Lead the development and configuration of placement management systems to support pre-placement checks, placement allocation, timesheets, and ePAD processes.
- Develop and implement additional functionality and automation to maximise system capability across mandatory placement programmes.
- Work with Lead Placement Officers to ensure systems meet operational requirements and support efficient placement administration.
- Liaise with University departments, including LIS, to ensure effective integration with existing University systems.
- Support system enhancements, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
Location:
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid & flexible working is available for this role.

This appointment is a fixed-term contract from 01/09/2026 - 31/08/2028.

Salary Information:
New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
